Both temple arms fold and close, sandwiching the lenses in between for protection! When you want to wear them, pull both temple arms out, pivot and swivel one temple arm backward, and then both arms are lined up allowing you to easily slide them on. When done wearing, simply swivel the arm back the other way and close the temple arms where they click into place on each end. The half rim style is fantastic for wearing all day if needed for close up reading and then easily look up and over the rim for long distance. Chic style, attractive frames - these are not your old fashioned old person reading glasses! Thin enough (.5" thick) to slide into even a wristlet purse for an evening out to be able to read the menu! Very lightweight (.5 oz./14 grams), but very durable.
