Encouraged by rapid business growth, yee lee corporation bhd was incorporated in 1973 to venture into palm oil refining and exporting business. By thw 1980s, yee lee embarked on many expansion programmes, which transformed the company and diversified its business.
<br/>On may 28, 1993, yee lee entered a New Era when it was listed on the main board of the kuala lumpur stock exchange (klse) our red eagle brand cooking oil was the first Malaysia produced oil to earn recognition and endorsement from the swiss vitamin institute in 1995 for its high vitamin e content. Locally, it received the porim certificate of competency for crude palm oil production, the sirim certification for quality as well as halal certifcation as approved for consumption by muslims.
