WTD (Wuhan Telecommunication Devices Co., Ltd.) was established in 1980. It now has nearly 1, 700 employees and 20, 000m2 company premises. WTD is mainly engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of semiconductor laser diodes, LED, detectors, transmitter/receiver modules, transceivers for optical communication purposes and has the R/D, production and processing capabilities of complete series products from chips, devices to modules, basically covering the active modules for transmission and data communications at different rates and in different packages, which are mainly applied in backbone networks, access networks, MAN, CATV/CDMA, WLAN, etc. As one of the biggest manufacturers and suppliers of photonelectronic devices in China, it has considerable distinctions and influence in the world. As the largest domestic production base for photoeletronic modules and devices, it has over a dozen key production lines for chips, coaxial devices, components, modules, testing, etc. It can execute all the processes from chip fabrication, coupling, packaging, burning-in test to life test and provide complete sets of photoelectronic device solutions.At the present, it has an annual production capacity of as many as 10 million pairs of photoelectronic devices and 5.4 million optical modules.
