Established in 1980, formerly known as China National Machinery Import&Export Corporation Yunnan Branch, is a medium sized foreign trade and economic cooperation company fully owned by the state. Its mission was to promote the export of industrial products of Chinese manufacturers and overseas economic cooperation project and to undertake import of advanced technology and equipment for Chinese manufacturers in order to improve their competitiveness on the international market. At present, the company consists of 10 divisions at its head office, four domestic and seven overseas fully owned subsidiaries, with annual turnover being around 60 million dollars.
