And it not only provides the necessary infrastructure for making but also for marketing them directly to the customers, domestic as well as oversees. A design centre helps the fusion of ethnic designs to suit the modern taste. In essence, it enables people to help themselves to realize their aspirations of leading a fulfilling life. SHC is registered under the Charitable Act 1981, it is accredited for ISO 8000 (Social Accountability) and is a certified member of World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). Since last 30 years or so the centre has been concentrating niche products for various designers spread across the world, by utilizing the skills of the underprivileged section of the society through sustained training and development.
