This is a new company that has started only one year ago.It is a family run business, and we are buying the steelpans directly from the manufacturer.Presto Traders is a located in Trinidad, which is an island in the Caribbean. Trinidad is well known for its calypso music and Carnival in which the steel pan plays a major role.The manufacturer that we are buying from is the same one that makes and tunes pans for most of the major steelpan orhestras in Trinidad.Presently steel pan music has been introduced in the curriculum of many schools in the Caribbean and it is beginning to become popular in some of the United States High Schools.As a result there will be a demand for the steelpan instrument over the next ten to twenty years.For those of you who are unfamiliar with steelpan music, I would be willing to send you a cd from some of our popular band in Trinidad.For those of you who may be interested in the Steelpan either as a personal instrument or as a business venture, then please contact me via email at your earliest convenience.
