Pollpar S.A. started operating in 1994. At present it owns its own incubating plant, where fertilized eggs imported from Brazil are hatched. One-day old baby chicks are then distributed to more than 60 integrated poultry farms all over Paraguay, together with the appropriate feed produced in its own feed plant, from de best maize and soya in the region. It produces frozen and fresh grillers (average weight 1,800 grams) and chicken cuts, slaughtering 35.000 chickens a day . At present the plant is not certified for Halal and Kosher rites. Paraguay does not have sanitary status for the European Union.
