It was founded to carry on business as exporters of Nigerian agricultural commodities. In the same year, the company was also duly registered as an exporter by the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, with a major focus on export of primary agricultural commodities and other non-oil commodities like charcoal, processed timber, solid minerals etc.
