Lumag was founded in 1988 by Marek Zak, who is currently the main shareholder of the company and its president of the board. The company started as a producer of friction linings. Today, lumag is the domestic market leader in the production of linings and pads for commercial vehicles (Lumag brand) and one of the leading producers of pads for passenger cars (Breck brand) .
<br/>Lumag is constantly investing to modernize the company and increase its production capacity. In the last three years we have invested over 3. 7 million euro to purchase and implement modern technologies and digitally controlled production machinery-especially for the production of brake pads for passenger cars. Each year our production lines output over 3 million friction linings and close to 2 million brake pads.
<br/>A new element in our offer are breck brake pads for passenger cars. They are a result of long work of the R& D department focused on friction materials of various applications. The company plans rapid expansion on foreign markets and systematic enhancement of its product portfolio. Each year lumag introduces around 80 new brake pad specifications for automobiles.
<br/>Looking into the future the company decided to invest over 2. 5 million euro in 2005 in a modern stock of machinery for production of automobile brake pads. This machinery, looking at its technological solutions, is a novelty on a national scale. The purchase of an automatic press line with the capacity of 3 million pads a year, a continuous furnace and a shim assembly machine, will allow us to meet the western European standards, in getting high, repeatable quality, and by the same token, meet the requirements of the oe market.
