Company Introduction
Situated in the central part of Russia, Kosaya Gora Iron Works went into production by casting its first iron on May 08, 1897-the date The Works was officially founded. For the period of 110 years The Works has undergone a number of reconstructions. Prior to the 70s, The Works primarily had produced foundry iron, but due to the shortage of ferromanganese on the domestic market, Kosaya Gora Iron Works undertook its production as well. For it's long history The Works has produced 12, 5 million tons of foundry (hematite) pig iron, 9 million tons of high carbon ferromanganese, 1, 4 million tons of ferrosilicon. Our three blast furnaces are capable of making foundry iron as well as ferromanganese. Production output in 2006 amounted to 234 million USD</p>
