Hydrogel injections are used as soft tissue fillers in the face, lips, and buttocks to increase their size and make them more aesthetically pleasing. Hydrogel is a transparent, injectable dermal filler implant containing 97.5% water bound to 2.5% cross-linked polyacrylamide, which has been especially designed for soft tissue correction. Polyacrylamide is non biodegradable and does not migrate. Hydrogel will last for many years. It is important to understand that this product is not absorbable and is not removable without risk of visible scarring. Hydrogel has been used for over 15 years for which time; volume is known to remain stable.
