ELECTRA is a Romanian producer of intercom systems, videointercoms and access control devices. Its products include interior video units, exterior video panels, videointercom configurators, and electromagnetic safety locks.The company was founded in 1991. The production of intercoms under the ELECTRA trademark began in 1993, and in 1997 the company acquired two patents for the intercom systems with access cards, laying the foundations of a national distribution network for the territory of Romania.Along the time, the company invested heavily in PCB and electronic assembly equipment. In 2007, ELECTRA begins the design, development and production of ADS video and audio intercoms, also receiving an UL certification for PCB production.In 2008, ELECTRA was divided in 3 distinct companies:- ELECTRA, producer of intercoms, videointercoms and access control systems;- PCB-ELECTRA, producer of printed circuit boards;- EMS-ELECTRA, supplier of electronic assembly services.In 2012, Electra launched a new line of products, with the intention of entering the international market of intercoms and videointercoms. In April 2012, ELECTRA participated for the first time in the world known fair Light+Building, held at Messe Frankfurt.
