EBDS Engineering Company has released in the year 2007 a new breakout detection system, which is quite different than what can be found on the market. The system, called Martine has been developed and improved during the last 10 years and has been installed in several continuous caster in Europe.When compared to well-know system, Martine shows always superiority, from the graphical interface as well as from the calculation point of view.Martine system is not a black box system; It is foreseen to be able to be tuned by the caster s engineer. Logging files and analysis computer are integrated features.
