Established in September 2006, Kong Hai Mining (Huaihua) Limited is the local PRC subsidiary of Hong Kong based Kong Hai Mining Group Limited. It is one of the few wholly owned foreign enterprises in the mining industry in China. The company is located in Yuanling county, Huaihua city, Hunan Province, which is adjacent to the beautiful Yuan River and close to Zhangjiajie, one of the most famous scenery resorts in China. Because of its strategic location, the company enjoys convenient transportation advantage and can ship the barite products to the markets efficiently via trucks, trains, and vessels. The factory is right by No. 227 provincial road, 20 kilometers away from No. 319 national road, and only 66 kilometers away from Changde Railway Station. Supported by the specialized wharf, vessels easily reach ports in Dongting Lake and along Yangtse River. Our mines in Huaihua have a barite reserve of over 20 million tons, with the average grade of 91.2% and the highest grade of 99.4% in terms of BaSO4 content. With the advanced mining and production facilities installed, the initial production capacity is 50,000 tons per year. More investment will be deployed to expand and upgrade production, R&D of higher grade products, as well as production of barium salts.
