Established in 1962 by Robert Samples, Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc. (ARDL) began its legacy with a staff of only two. Over the past 45 years, ARDL has established itself as a leading international laboratory dedicated to providing testing, development and problem solving services to all facets of the rubber and plastic industries. ARDL now employs over 100 personnel that operate three modern laboratories in Akron, Ohio. The success and growth of any company is only as good as the people behind it. It takes in-depth practical experience and the formal professional education of a competent staff with experience in polymers, compounding, testing and consulting to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and do the job right. ARDLs trained technicians are certified to conduct testing through an in-house program of continuing education and certification.
